Description:
All are invited to join the fun, as Madonna students, faculty and staff exercise their creativity during the Writing Center's 24-hour Halloween Research/Write-a-thon. The event will feature Halloween-themed readings, games and prizes. Pizza, candy, fruit and beverages will be provided. Stay for as little or long as you like; bring a laptop, paper and pen, sleeping bag, and/or a flash drive. The Take 5 is wireless and Writing Center tutors and Library professionals will be on hand to assist with assignments or creative endeavors. ENG 1000 and 1150 students can log in Writing Center hours, UNIV 1010 students get a stamp for attending. [5:00pm]Religious Icon Exhibit Artist Reception
Description:
During an artist reception in the Madonna Gallery, attendees can enjoy refreshments while viewing the religious icon exhibit of sociology senior Marius Sidau. Sidu, born and raised in Romania, created his first icon at age 8 by molding clay figurines in his grandmother’s bread oven. He has collected religious artwork for more than 10 years.
